Dog Behavior Modification

Behavior Modification

The behavior modification training service is geared towards solving any type of problem behaviors that you may be facing with your dogs. If you aren’t sure how to handle it on your own, we are here to help! Our experienced, certified dog trainers, Mark Halladay and team, will work with you in innovative ways that fit your needs. You will be guided using simple exercises, to shape any undesired behaviors into an appropriate response for the situation. Shaping a behavior can take a varying amount of time based upon the dog’s age, training level, and how long the behavior has been reinforced.

What is dog behavior modification training?

Dog behavior modification is the change of an undesired behavior. This service focuses on dog behavior problems and how to fix them. If you are looking to train new behaviors you can check out our dog obedience training program. Common problems we see include:

  • Jumping
  • Puppy nipping and mouthing
  • Biting and people reactivity
  • Digging
  • Barking
  • Leash aggression
  • Acting shy or fearful
  • Reactive dogs
  • Among many others…

landMARK animals, inc. primarily uses positive reinforcement for all training needs but believes that it is important to be well balanced trainers. This allows us to have many “tools” in our “toolbox” so we can find what works best for you and your dog.  We believe that “a tired dog is a good dog” and if you are in New Orleans, be sure to look at our Dog Walking and Pet Sitting services.  Again, all of our behavior training for dogs aims at altering behavior and correcting behavior, which is different than training a new behavior. To train new behaviors altogether, please checkout our Obedience Training. It is in our mission to ensure a harmonious environment for you and your pets, and dog behavior training will help achieve this. You have our full commitment to solve any behavior problems such as helping to stop jumping or digging.
